Practising Short o and u CVC Words

CVC words have a consonant-vowel-consonant pattern. Listen carefully to the middle vowel sound before blending the whole word.

Sound-by-Sound Routine

  1. Say each sound slowly.
  2. Identify the middle vowel.
  3. Blend the sounds together.
  4. Read the word again at normal speed.
